- Tax receipts issued for donations cannot be reversed without proper documentation
3. Refund Eligibility
3.1 Eligible Circumstances
Refunds may be considered in the following exceptional circumstances:
- Technical Errors: Duplicate transactions due to technical glitches or payment gateway errors
- Unauthorized Transactions: Donations made without the account holder's authorization (subject to verification)
- Processing Errors: Incorrect donation amounts processed due to system errors
- Fraudulent Activity: Transactions identified as fraudulent by our security systems
3.2 Non-Eligible Circumstances
Refunds will generally NOT be processed for:
- Change of mind after making a voluntary donation
- Dissatisfaction with how funds are utilized (within our stated charitable purposes)
- Personal financial difficulties of the donor
- Donations made more than 30 days ago (except in exceptional circumstances)
- Donations where tax receipts have already been utilized for tax benefits
4. Refund Request Process
4.1 How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please follow these steps:

- Provide your transaction details including:
- Transaction ID or receipt number
- Date and amount of donation
- Payment method used
- Reason for refund request
- Submit supporting documentation if applicable

5. Refund Processing
5.1 Review Process

5.2 Processing Timeline
If your refund request is approved:
- Credit/Debit Cards: 5-10 business days
- Net Banking: 3-7 business days
- UPI/Digital Wallets: 1-3 business days
- Bank Transfer: 3-5 business days
Note: Processing times may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.
5.3 Refund Method
Refunds will be processed using the same payment method used for the original donation. In exceptional cases where this is not possible, alternative arrangements will be made in consultation with the donor.
6. Tax Implications
6.1 Tax Receipt Cancellation
If a refund is processed for a donation for which a tax receipt (80G certificate) has been issued:
- The original tax receipt will be cancelled
- You must return the original tax receipt if already provided
- Any tax benefits claimed must be reversed in your tax filings
- We will provide documentation of the refund for your tax records
6.2 Donor Responsibility
It is the donor's responsibility to consult with their tax advisor regarding the implications of donation refunds on their tax filings.
7. Recurring Donations
7.1 Cancellation of Recurring Donations
For recurring monthly donations, you may cancel future payments at any time by:

- Using the cancellation link in your donation confirmation emails
- Managing your subscription through your payment provider
7.2 Refund of Recurring Donations
Past recurring donations are subject to the same refund policy as one-time donations. Cancellation of future payments does not automatically refund previous donations.
